Well Done Darrel, We have a winner. Got the fish a couple of weeks ago and they are still very young but have the most beautiful eyes The quality isn't the best as it was taken with my iphone but hopefully you get to see their eyes

A couple of firsts for me, first time trying to capture video on my camera (Nikon d3100) instead of the i-phone, first time I used youtube, and if you go fullscreen and high resolution then that won't be the first time you see algae in my tank :oops:

They seem to be happy, cruising in the top half of the tank which is great as the other fish seem to always prefer the bottom half. They add a great bit of movement to the tank as a whole which is needed

Thanks for the reply Andy, the tank is 8' long by 2' wide and 30" high but there are plenty of places to shelter so hopefully they alright

Quick update on Jack.He is now near eight inches, still eats like a pig after catching my fingers numerous times and digging massive pits in the tank even pulling up large plants if they are where it wants to dig. Despite this you still got to love him especially as he seems to be the only one...

Here's a quick pic of one of the young 'uns out with it's extended family. It and the rest of the cardinal babies are gro wing fast but the final number has dropped to 7 or 8 though they seem to be coming on fine

They are looking swell, certainly a big improvement in colour. Fill us in about water conditions that they are enjoying at the moment ,whether you are adding adder cone or beech leaves or a commercial product, or are the tannins from bog wood.Just need the information in case I ever get the...
