All That Remains - Take II

I currently have x2 Air Pumps running on this.
X1 for the UGF x2 outlets - just a MA x2 outlet pump - AquaManta Air Pump - SP 360
x1 for the Big air stone = superfish pond x1 outlet - Superfish Air Flow 2 Air Pump

Would this be suitable to run it all

Sitting infront of the tank this morning while remunating with a big mug of Tea.
I've ordered 25kg of sand to add to the foreground. I'll order more if needed.
Ordered the V10 Hailea to see what's its like and for the price not too worried. I want the kind of outflow they have in the UGFs in Bardills. Always forget to ask what pump they are using to run their tanks. As they only use UGF in all the tanks.

Also one of the Pearl's has multiple ventral fins which is an interesting mutation. It's one of the sub males, cant see yet if it can move them independently to each other.

I saw some very small juvies of an Interesting fish. And couldn't resist getting some at the price they were. I don't see them very often, mainly for a brief few seconds at dusk or golden hour. Hopefully as they grow they will get more bold and will see them out and about.
They are only the size of an adult kuhli loach atm. So have alot of growing to do.

Plstties are continuing to birth more fry that are surviving. And I'd forgotten how big platty females can get. The blue Mickley mouse 🐁 females are def a chunky fish. And fiesty.

My son has said he wants some sharks for the tank, but I wouldn't want to add them as 6ft is not big enough for them long term for how big they get. Maybe a red tail or rainbow shark for him to look out for when he pops over. Though he does like the Yoyo and flags. So they may keep his interest as they grow.

My super reds are Calicos shich is not an issue. I would like to add some blue eyed snows in the future if the price is more reasonable or some green lf dragons.

Pearl weed is growing but at a slow speed. Obs more ferts will help with that. Crypts are growing again which is nice. I may add some more.

And I have a weird looking soft leafed red/brown one which I don't remember adding. So I'll see what that is later.

Also one of my lotus' is very stunted they are next to each other by about 6 inch apart.
One has already reached surface level and the other is barely sending out any leaves 🍃 which is weird.

Sand arrived, but the bag had slit so have lost half. Sent pix to shop.
I've added it to the foreground in a decent layer this morning.
Cories already more relaxed and diving head 1st into it.
The giant Vall needs trimming, but I like how it all coils together at the surface.

Rainbow 🌈 cichlids have been hovering around the heater, so they may be getting ready to nest. Though they are supposed to be crater layers. So will see what happens.

Added more botanical aswell, KBN have a nice selection so got some nice leaves to add. And some nice open pods.

Took the afternoon off yesterday, and went to Bardills.
So glad I did as they had loads I would have come home with but didn't thankfully.
Got some elegant cories
Long fin white clouds, got x12 as they are lovely
Glass cats, have missed keeping these. So glad they had some in.
Added x12 more Cardinals as they were under £2 each
A nice big group of platinum halfbeaks- can't wait to start feeding them up to get nice and chunky and get some fry from them again.

Went to the Japanese Water Gardens just down the road. That was a bit of a let down as the name implied alot. And there was just a big plastic pond with a few Lilly and water spouts. They did have alot of Koi and a decent selection of fancy goldfish which was nice.
The fancy garden room place across the way was cool, but starting at 15k, nice to look at.

Yellow Convicts are looking lovely but don't stay still enough to capture properly.

I fed them some crushed cichlid pellets and low and behold one of the convicts came out.
Really nice yellow colour, and unlike their counterparts they have an orange fringe to their finnage instead of blue.

A Random Plant started to grow on one side of the tank that faces the patio doors. And it has grown very quickly. And became the main housing for all the cherry shrimp. It is a stem plant and I think it may be Guppy Grass, ill try and remember to get some pix of it during tomorrows water change etc.
Still the stunted Lotus is trying to grow but constantly fails to send out runners to the surface, I think its just a dud of a plant tbh.
Need to start catching out the platties as the numbers are increasing each month and take them to the LFS for credit.

I added a group of 6 dwarf puffers a few weeks ago and they have thrived in the dense planting and hardscape. They have not bothered any fish, not even the slower meandering fish. And spend their time either hunting the countless snails or bickering amongst themselves. They are always plump and full and very cute to watch when they show themselves.
Also some of the Platinum halfbeaks, have missed keeping these feisty little things. And can't wait to start feeding up the larger females with some meatier foods. Not holding out for any fry as they are Minute and very Very hard to spot.

I thought I had found some of the Gold Denisoni barbs at the Japanese Water Gardens last weekend, but it turned out they had gold flukes. So euthanised them before they went into the tank. Was a disappointing glorified Reptile centre though the Big Koi pond was fun to feed.

I've seen that there is now a Gold Metallic morph of the Cardinal Tetras now, and may try them in the future. At £6 each though they are pricey. And Bardills have taken a few suggestions for fish in the future. So Hopefully they will get some Rosy Loaches and Micro Crabs. I want to set up another Nano for my Desk with Micro Predators Indostomus Paradoxus in the future and glad I have a healthy supply of shrimp and other micro fauna.

Hi @Gill - I would love to see puffers when you get a moment!

Pfft that will be fun to try and do. They don't stay still for long, as they zoom off into the back of the tank very quickly. Ill try and get a few shots of them when they come out in a group and squabble.
I spend more time watching the tank on the nanny cam sometimes at work, than actually working. As leave it on in the background while whiling away the hours of Endless Admin.

The Meanders also since being added I've only seen them twice for a few seconds. Cant believe I found some teeny juvies of them x2 for £20. Also Premier has Spotted Kuhlis, which I must have and some Silver ones.

Oh geez, I thought that it was just me who set up cameras to watch fish!! :D

Nope your not Alone - it serves a dual purpose as lets me check on dad when he ventures into the kitchen area looking for snacks etc.
:D At least you can say you have another reason. I 'literally' have to say that I want to watch the fish.......
........they looks I get could fill a book with 40 chapters.

A few pix
A little cloudy post maintenance. I actually trimmed the vallis for the 1st time, it grows soooo long it's silly and wraps around itself.

I think that's Guppy grass along the left side. It breaks off and starts growing in other places.

I'm really liking the flagtails as algae crew, they graze alot of the time or just idling away with the gouramies.

And can anyone ID this Cory, this female is much larger than the other and looks very different to the other albino cories.

It looks like an albino Paleatus, your others look like Corydoras Aeneus to me. They’re the two most commonly sold albino species in the trade.

Just look at how chunky the Murder Beans are, they are feeding on snails etc.

And the Halfbeaks are getting chunky aswell.

Down to x2 Filters now.
Smashed my External earlier today, Was making a weird noise and no water coming out. So took it apart and serviced it.
Snapped the impeller shaft and then dropped it so the housing cracked and the head went flying off and parts went everywhere.
Only dropped it a few inches but that was enough.

Browsing for another External to buy after Payday.
