Hi all, In the glimpses I get of them they look quite plump. When they went in the tank there were a lot of "tank janitors", so whether they just associate crustaceans with food I don't know. I've seen some big Asellus, so there definitely is a limit in size to what they will take on. Cheers...

Adding CO2 to an established tank

Slowly. From personal experience I can you that sudden changes in pH, oxygen and co2 levels will kill shrimp (and potentially fish). Have you used co2 in a tank before? I started using it last year and it took a while for me to get it right. There’s a good chance of getting it wrong in the...

My experience with my Rubies is that they are very timid - they only tend to appear at feeding times, and rarely come out otherwise, and they are always skittish - despite the other fish swimming everywhere most of the time. Rather than them being greedy, I worry more that they’ll be able to get...

Absolutely not. Nor shrimp. Not even the largest container. Aside from the diminutive size, the gas exchange will be minimal not only since some are taller than wider but also because of the narrow neck. And with a wooden ball in it just for good measure, it's effectively sealed off. Apparently...
