Week aqua users

i just recently upgraded my p900 pro to BT 3.0 and it’s so much better. I also bought two A430 on AliExpress for my tank upgrade and they both came with BT 3.0 already.

I noticed something that’s not a big issue but can get annoying. When I check the A430 in the app the light would turn off during the few seconds that it takes to connect to the Bluetooth then it will turn back on once the light is connected. I used advanced settings instead of the automatic sunrise/sunset option so when my light connects it’s already on the “advanced” tab.

I checked my P900 (this one came from BT 2.0 and I just upgraded the board) and it doesn’t turn off and then on while connecting. It might have happened once after installing BT 3.0 but it didn’t happen yesterday when I checked.

Has this happened to anyone else?

It’s not really a big deal but my fish do get spooked quite a bit when that happens.

I totally forgot I offered to measure this. Typical American.

I now have two lights running on one tank, the P600 and the M450. The M series has the Bluetooth 2.0 and the improvements are noticeable.

I recently got a Z200pro for my aquanano 40.

My initial impression is that I'm chuffed to bits, easy to use, customise etc.

But I've just stripped the tank, waiting for new soil before I embark on a new scaping journey.

Previously had 2 aquanano leds running through a tc421 and it blows them out of the water but wasnt a very high standard to start.

Hi guys, i've bought months ago the P900, the light is very good, but i im planning to upgrade it to P1200 or 2 A430, the tank is a 110x50x60(50 due to soil ).

The P series received an upgrade, now the P1200 is 10800lm, while 2 A430 would give me around 14000lm.
The p1200 is 18cm large, while a430 are 28cm.

I've talked directly to WeekAqua over IG, the panel from P1200 and A430 are the same, same spectrum but different intensity.

I can't decided between the A and P series... probably the cheaper ones?

It is not possible to find the lights of this brand in any dealer in Turkey or buy them from the week aqua website. Because the tax system in Turkey is very problematic. Aliexp. Even if you want to get it, it is not possible to get it. Because there is a limit of 150 euros for customs. And 30% extra tax is required for 150 euros.

Morning all,

Just received my WeekAqua M600K pro.

Loving the quality of this light for the price.

I had been researching how to use the app before it arrived but it now appears the app has been updated and looks a lot nicer to navigate.

Has anyone got any recommendations for custom lighting?

I've never had to play with the spectrums before as my previous light was just white LEDs.

I have got green and red plants (newly planted) in my tank.


Also in regards to the sunrise and sunset functions. If I set my timers for the light to come on at 12.30 and turn off at 7.30, if I then set my sunrise/sunset functions to 1.5hrs. Does that mean it starts to come on and be full power at 12.30 or it will start to slowly come on at 12.30? The same for sunset, will it start to fade down to 0%power at 7.30, or will it start to fade down at 7.30 and then take 2 hours to go to turn off completely.

Any advice would be appreciated.

To anyone considering one of these lights I can highly recommend the M600 D2 PRO if you're on a budget. Was initially dubious about build and app quality but was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. Quality is great for the price and app is extremely easy to use.

I haven't tried the T90, meant to be a great light though. I do have two P600's and I have just ordered the new Z250 Pro. I always order them from Aliexpress.

Obvious answer is to just contact the AE shop you bought it from. There me be sticker on the box perhaps with an identifier of which module it's using but I'm not sure.

Welcome to the forum!

If its the newer board, the ramp up is pretty smooth. If it's the old board, the ramp up isn't very smooth at all and just increases in obvious staggered increases. It might be easier to see if you reduce the sunrise period to 5 minutes temporarily, just so you can see the ramp better.

To be honest if you've just bought the unit, and it has the old board, it must be pretty old stock, as I think all the new units come with the updated board.

It does seem the ramp is not very smooth and still fairly bright when the lights go off at the end of the timer. I also wanted to do an hour of moonlight at the end of the photo period so I set that up in the 'advanced setting' on the app. While it worked and the blue moonlight came on as programmed, there was no ramping at all and even turned full green light for a couple seconds while transitioning from the light cycle to the moon light cycle. Has anyone found a work around for the advanced setting or I am trying too hard with this app and just leave it as a standard cycle? haha

Hello guys,

Anybody has experience with V series? I bought the V300Se-K (RGB+W) on sale in Aliexpress, however, was not clear it could be controlled by app, thing is it can't. It has a controller with dimmer, timer (6, 8 and 10 hs) and sunrise functions. Dimmer is bad, once, differently, from chihiros and twinstar it is not based on defined steps, but a full range dimming, which make it difficult to do more precise control the amount of light. It says it has 2000 lumens, no par info tho. I honestly found it on par with chihiros A2 301, in terms of brightness, build quality is better imo. The power supply plug is awg23 or something like that. I would like to know if there is an way, a plug conversor, to connect a wireless controller to make it more automated, like magic home, at least better dimmer control. Overall the lamp is fine, but it lacks bt connection, as I'm used to chihiros.

My initial experience with chihiros was similarly negative like my experience with weekaqua is currently but the wrgbpro2 I’m using on my 60f is better across the board than the week aqua with the caveat that the week aqua colour rendition is very very ADA and really reminds me of the old metal halides, that can be boiled down to preference though, I prefer it to the hyper saturated look.

As for making it work as I want and look how I want in rendition for gave up trying and set it to come on for 7hours with a sunrise sunset. Beyond that I gave up.

In short its a really good light that is let down by the app sucking.

Hi, I read your post, how many watts do you have for your 60f. I have a week of aqua z250pro, the max wattage of this lamp is 70 watts, I currently have it set to 50%. and I am still struggling with dust on the windows, like there is always too much power. Can you give a tip, how it setup ok. I will attach a picture of my 60f thanks👍
