Sorry for not seeing your reply Martin. All I used was some ADA soil, rain water and a sunny window sill. The UG did flower. All dying back a bit now as mid winter in the UK!

Thanks for the reply.
My moss/UG ball is doing pretty good....weirdly the pieces of UG that grow underwater are doing better (greener, looking fresh), but they are attached to the emersed mother plant.

Having a bit of fun with emergant growing. Had a pot of Monte Carlo, set it to grow in a propagator. Seems to grow very well!

Decided to use some to make a mini emergant scape. Had a few small but nice rocks to play with:

Think it will need cling film initially over the top but hopefully can harden off the MonteCarlo.....
