Looks great one of my favourite journals!
Do you still dose Tropica Specialised and if yes what is your dosing schedule?

Thanks, yes still on specialised and really don't have a schedule but would guess it averages about 3 pumps a week?

Sh@t the bed it's Ian Holdich!!
Hello mate, we've missed you 😥

Your scaping fingers itching?
Got a 60 litre up and running at the moment, it’s only been going about 4 weeks. Nothing special, was going to keep it as a low tech, internal filter etc…but you know how these things go, c02 installed yesterday, internal ripped out and external fitted. Will get some pics up later x

That's great to hear your dipping your toe back in, next thing you know @Stu Worrall will be starting a journal... 😍😂

What a difference a day makes... major trim that had a few challenges.
When removing some buce the whole hardscape started coming apart, normally I would have decided there and then to rescape but I'm away soon so it will have to wait.
The buce 'mother plants' are massive, be interesting to see how long regeneration takes this time.PSX_20220226_205635.jpgPSX_20220327_213255.jpgPSX_20220327_212620.jpg

The gift that keeps on giving.
This little scape will be four years old in august, that is incredible. It’s amazing how nature takes care of things, and this scape has found an incredible balance of flora and fauna.
Good to see you active again and fingers crossed for the office tank 🤞
Cheerio,
Ady.

It's been a year since I last updated this... all the usual apologies of my vacancy apply, much as previously, scaping just sits on the back burner at this point in my life. One day I'm sure it won't be but today isnt that day.

Which means this one has hit 5th year running with almost no intervention.
Generally it looks like this, a little shabby

As it was a big birthday I gave it a big old spruce up at which point most of the carpet lifted. This meant a quick run to Aquarium garden for some new plants to try in this tank. Eleocharis pusilla and lilaeopsis brasiliensis.. I vaguely recall failing with it before🤔 so that a a couple of new bits of manzi thrown in and it's hot to trot for another year.

By which time I fear the ficus may have actually taken over the kitchen entirely.

It's great to see the forum doing so well, massive love to the mods that make it happen ❤️

Spotted a couple of dead shrimp so figured I'd pushed the 'no water change' philosophy too far and gave this a bit of a spuce up. Tds was 467 and came down to 280. I'll do another later in the week and get it to 180 ish. Bit of a hair cut and it looks all good for another 3 or 4 months.
