Hi Matt, W-K Looks fab in the glass.

Acclimating the W-K leave the film semi open for an hour or so each day for a few days then extend the period over the next few days opening it more each day After a week or so the plants should be acclimatized to room temp 🙂

Yes I think you do.

I am getting my sphagnum moss from

It isn't Sphagnum, but another type of moss, maybe <"Homalothecium sericeum">. Sphagnum would hold a lot more water, but that is probably the main difference.

Hi Matt, Very cool looking lamp, 6000k as well fantastic great price too Plants will grow well under that. I know its at work on your desk. If you can put it on a timer and have the lights on for 12 hours it will look stunning in a few weeks 😉

This is the lamp I have been using for one of my set ups its only 2700k and the plants flowered. Think I will be getting one of your lamps for my future projects 😀

So as the thread name suggests I am not at all experienced with these WK.

After looking at many a picture I have noticed that most others have a small amount of water in the bottom of their WK's. I have not done this with mine should I?

I fo spray them once a day though.

Update. Roughly week 5 and im gna show you everything but first Wabi number 1 now nearly ready to be left open on my desk but I have added some AR and Hygro Araguaia.

Have not yet managed to transfer the shots from my camera but here are some from today on my phone.

Now fully open and fingers crossed properly acclimatised for around 3 or 4 days.

Just made another substrate ball with some riccia floating around in my 130L.
Not sure if I should plant it up or not and keep it just as it is.

Hi , are you using fertilizers for these wabi kusa ? If yes how do you dose them ?

Or the nutrients from the "ball" should be enough ?
