Complete aquatics are a bloody nightmare they don’t have most the stuff they have for sale in stock despite the website saying otherwise. If u look on their feedback a lot of people say the same. I ordered my tank from them because they were the only place that said in stock. Took months then...
You can turn the operating pressure up on ur reg there is an Allen key adjustment behind the little rubber bung in the front. I normally have mine on 2-2.5 bar
Actually I was wrong it was a scud culture I saw. But have a look on mangroves and more or Zebrafish Management Ltd fish food, brine shrimp, and equipment they may be able to help u
Ah ok that answered that then lol. I tried growing it in my pond once and the buggers just ate it straight away. I might try some in the top of the waterfall tho once I turn it back on
Oh I didn’t want to eat I just thought it might be beneficial. Plus even if I did want to eat it I can’t see how it would be any different than the farmed stuff which is fed from streams and rivers
Ok guys hear me out lol, has anyone tried growing watercress in built in filter compartment or floating in their tank? I know people grow it in ponds and pond filters and it’s great for removing excess stuff from the water. Or would it be to warm that’s my only concern
Hasn’t it just chipped a sliver of glass off tho? Doesn’t look like it’s damaged the seal. I’d be inclined to smear abit of silicone on the inside of that corner and the outside
I’ve used mini landscape rock in my new scape. I had read that it raises KH and GH but I see loads of people use it so assumed it wasn’t much of a problem. I’m using RO remineralised. Will weekly water changes help control it? I’m just worried I’m not gonna be able to keep many types of fish. Am...
If the twinstar ones are the same as the chihiro ones these won’t be any good. You need the ones with a socket maybe eheim or similar ones would have the same sized socket
Well here’s 3 weeks progress there’s been some growth was hoping for mor by now but it’s a start. The Pearl moss seems to grow fast that was about a teaspoon full 2 weeks ago. Had to trim some of the crypts back which started to melt
Ok well there’s no heating in the tank until the waters in. Twin star on 100% for 8 hours but ramps up and down 2 hours before and after and spraying once a day. Only been set up 3 days so just curious, some of the stems have started to straighten up after being curled up invitro
the lower stocking levels in marine aquariums is due to the salt water being able to hold less oxygen (in laymans terms). Some tropicals have low stocking rules to like discus they recoment 10 gallons per adult fish
Lol my bad it's because TPN dosage works out 5ml per day on my tank. But still for it to be effective because it's weak you need to double or triple the recommended dose, I use 15ml 5 days a week. I'm switching to a pre mixed dry mix tho much cheaper
Hi,
Your underdosing your ferts for a start tropica is ment to be 5mm per day for every 50 litres it's also abit lean so most people double or tipple dose. Co2 is prob abit to low 2-3 bubbles per second is the norm
Rudi
I wouldnt worry about your kh untill its cycled and thats only if you are going to keep stuff that needs a higher kh but it will help to stop a ph crash. I buffer mine because mine is very low to and as i keep discus i dont want any stability issues mines about 3 dkh 54ppm. I use seachem reef...
I believe a fishless cycle using ammonia gives you a better head start than just letting the plants do because you get a bigger (more than you realy need) bio collony in the filter. Which was handy for me adding 6 fairly large discus at once. If your doing a amazon biotope im sure alot of the...
