    LIQUID CO2 WARNING by JBL

According to Seachem the active ingredient in Excel is Polycycloglutaracetal - an isomeric form of glutaraldehyde ..it's the non-hazardous ingredients that are withheld (as a trade secret)...All this aside, the argument against the production or distribution of glutaraldehyde solution by JBL has...

    LIQUID CO2 WARNING by JBL

I very much doubt there's a copyright on Glutaraldehyde Solution - Seachem aren't the only company that produces it. According to the article, JBL don't produce or distribute a Glutaraldehyde Solution on safety and ethical grounds. The very same grounds that UK hospitals ban the use of the...

    Bubble Counter filling with water?

If by normal you mean those used for airlines - then NO - has to be specifically for co2. I find the plastic ones tend to go brittle , also the valve tends to be tighter - requiring more pressure than the metal counterparts. Can't advise how long your 95g will last as I have no experience with them.

    Bubble Counter filling with water?

The check valve inside the bubble counter prevents water getting to the regulator - you'll need to fit a check valve inline on the tubing to prevent syphoning (position it as close to the water as possible - high up the tubing).

Hygrophila Pinnatifida issue. Transparent leaves and pin holes.

Remove wool , plant into substrate and place a root tab under each bunch....Hygrophilla is very Iron dependant and Iron doesn't stay available in chelated form. Providing Iron via root tabs will overcome this. (This has been my experience with Hygrophilla).

It's not the water that's cycled, it's the filter (substrate...and surfaces)...replacing the water wont affect the cycle - provided that the filter was not powered down for too long.

from recollection, the bazooka requires 30-40psi...bps will probably need adjusting as the in tank atomiser wont be as efficient as an in-line variants.

    Flow too much?

If you're using a spray bar and your flow is too strong, then simply drill the holes out a fraction bigger...you will still benefit from the 1450lph turn over but without turning the tank into a washing machine.

    Zetlight Lancia ZP4000 LEDs

    Citric acid against BBA?

Some people (myself included) have found that reducing micro fert dosage causes bba to clear up. Reduce micros by 10 times....ie if you normally dose 40ml, then only dose 4ml. I had bba going mental on my anubias, I read about micro toxins being a possible cause, so followed the above dosing...

    Nitrates

Where on earth do you get this figure from? everything I've read regarding general tolerance levels of nitrates for fish states 30ppm - 40ppm and for Goldfish, Koi etc as being even lower - at 20ppm - as safe levels. There are fish that are exceptions with tolerances much higher, but these...

    Has anyone tried Colombo ferts?

Brands are fine if you dont mind paying for 96% water....cheaper to buy dry ferts and mix your own stock solution. Same for carbo products, theyre just a solution of gluteraldehyde - a lovely biocide with a low carbon source.
