Personally I prefer a black background...just makes everything pop

Since most of the component in your tank is plant and no dark colour hardscape such as rocks or driftwoods, I think black color background will make your plant pop and plant bushes look deeper.

Color light background may cause distraction from plant itself

Black I think. Maybe try blue as well.

black is good, but it can get boring; I've seen some nice alternative backgrounds out there that are lighter and make for refreshing changes, it brightens a room up considerably also vs black tanks
