I could not find a heater section so I posted here instead.
So I have a juwel rekord 600 64l aquarium that came with a 50w heater.
It did its job but recently it seems to be stuck at 22/23, the only thing that has changed is I replaced the hood with a new light that sits above the tank, could this be causing the heat loss?

What wattage heater would be best for me? I was looking at 100w heaters but wanted to check first.

100w would be fine. What's your ambient temperature?

Can anyone recommend a good 100w heater with a uk plug?

I find the Aquael Easy Heaters to be very good, they are practically indestructable in aquaria use as they are made of plastic, they are relatively slim and black - which gives them a low profile in most tank setups. They have the uk plug too...shop around as prices vary considerably from 'cheap' to 'are you serious'
I use them in most of my tanks and have found them to be reliable and accuate...don't get the 'Neo' version as these have reliabilty issues.
