The liquid carbon i got from AE came in a clear dosing bottle, as does the Aquarium plant food version. i keep mine in the cabinet anyway, so if it is light sensitive hopefully storing it in the dark should help.

If it's small enough and you have a big enough pot, boil it on the stove for a couple of hours. Obviously keep topping the water up. Other than that the larger pieces i have took a couple of weeks of soaking in the bath. Personally i have only ever used fishing line to attach moss, works well...

Good pumps for the money, but bear in mind they're only adjustable for flow if used submerged, once you remove the front cover to attach the input hose tail you loose the option to adjust the flow down. Stu.

The Green Machine used to list a opaque/light reflecting background on their site but i can no longer see it listed. To me it looked like any opaque/etched effect window film that's widely available, very subtle but just enough to obscure the view of cables pipe ETC behind the tank.
