Having read up on this forum I have concluded (like so many others before me!) that my 'flow' isn't good enough.
My tank os c. 180 litres and I currently only have a fluval 305.
Will changing to a Fluval FX5 be sufficient to achieve the 10X rule?
People say that published flow rates aren't corrent when considering filter media etc. So with a published rate of 2300 lph will this be enough? I calculate that 10X rate would only allow it to be running at 80% therefore only giving a 20% drop off.
I'd rather only have one filter on my tank and not both with extra power heads.
What do other people run on their 180 litre tanks?
