Well small update, it came back! Started to notice it back in April.
The first sample that I took out last year died (probably due to my negligence). Lost its color but still had a jelly texture. A second sample tarted to grow in the tank and grew pretty large but then started dying off. Reason unknown, maybe due to heatwave and/or lack of tank maintenance. Started to die off in random spots.
These are the current growths. Two clumps but couple of random strands also on the tank silicone.
