Ive been given some plants :)
some moss and a floating plant and want to know what they are.
There seems to be more than one type of moss it grows differently is it the same species?

The bottom one is: Pistia stratiotes

Dunno about the moss... :?

It loves lots of micro fert - if you take good care of it I'll be:

Usually in my tank it's about this size (before I get tired of it stealing the light and give most of it away  ):

Hi all,
where are the moss experts
Without a microscope and a spore capsule it is "pick a name". I think it is a Vesicularia sp as well, because the "leaves" (microphylls) looks quite spiky. Vesicularia spp. have a rougher texture than Taxiphyllum spp.

Singapore Moss - Vesicularia dubyana would be a possibility, Java moss (often referred to as V. dubyana) isn't actually a Vesicularia sp. but a Taxiphyllum.

More here: <http://www.aquamoss.net/Java-Moss/Java Moss Vesicularia dubyana.htm> & <http://www.ukaps.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7895>.

cheers Darrel
