Thoughts on EC meters

Considering an EC meter on a budget, to establish and monitor a datum for my tank.

Any thoughts or experience on meters in general, or this candidate in particular (HM Digital AP-2), appreciated.

I've used D-D ones for years, no issues, batteries last for ages and seem to stay reliable, cost about £20.

I've used D-D ones for years, no issues, batteries last for ages and seem to stay reliable, cost about £20.

Cheap conductivity meters are fine. They are simple electronically and <"conductivity is a linear scale"> all the way from DI to seawater.

Temperature does have an effect, so automatic temperature compensation is useful, but not essential.

This looks to me like the same meter but cheaper Amazon product ASIN B08ZD5P89M, I bought a HM TDS-3 for £16.00 in the past but later found out it was exactly the same as some no label meters for £6.00,
