The shallow of learning

I was just about to say have you tried re-seating it. You need to find the sweet spot so it 'sinks' and then turn whilst applying some moderate force.

As a side note, it looks like there is a lot of hose between the filter and the tank. Are you planning to shed some?

A thin smear of silicone grease will most likely help if you're not already using some.

Going to do this, good shout :)

Yes, just running excess until I get things into position and all working correctly etc :)

Ended up planting, man you sure do get a lot with the in-vitro pots. I've only used 1 pot of the Pusilla....

The Helanthium Quadricostatus had to go, it was growing a little too well and I would have needed a part time job just to keep it under control. Bought some new wood (thanks @Ady34 for the help) when at the UKAP's meet @Horizon Aquatics so going to to mess around with putting a scape in as it turns out I can't cope without any hardscape, at least I know that now! :D

Used 3 pieces of horn wood, some seiryu stone. Plants are Eleocharis Pusilla, Eleocharis Parvula, Eleocharis Montevedensis, have chucked a couple small Anubias in also.
