The shallow of learning

I was just about to say have you tried re-seating it. You need to find the sweet spot so it 'sinks' and then turn whilst applying some moderate force.

As a side note, it looks like there is a lot of hose between the filter and the tank. Are you planning to shed some?

A thin smear of silicone grease will most likely help if you're not already using some.

Going to do this, good shout :)

Yes, just running excess until I get things into position and all working correctly etc :)

Finally ordered some Tropica 1-2 grow plants to get started...

x4 Eleocharis Pusilla
x2 Helanthium Quadricostatus
x1 Alternanthera reineckii 'mini'
x1 Echinodorus Reni (recently got this for a different tank and I really like it)

Part of the plant inspiration was from Juri's UNS 5N scape.

Ended up planting, man you sure do get a lot with the in-vitro pots. I've only used 1 pot of the Pusilla....
