Songs from the Man Cave!

I guess this might require some translation... 😘

In life, I once met
A woman equal to a skinny girl
Coral black from Havana
A tremendously mulata
100 pounds of skin and bones
40 kilos of Salsa
and in her face are 2 suns
They never speak any words

The skinny girl sleeps during the day
She calls when the hunger engages
When the night falls
She comes down to dance on top of the bar

And dance and dance
and take and take
one beer after the other
but she never gets fat

But she never gets fat!

For one kiss from the skinny girl
I would give everything
For one kiss from the skinny girl
even if it only was one

Even if it only was one!

I wetted my white blankets
as the song says
Remembering the caresses
she gave me the day before

And I go crazy with the desire
To sleep next to you
Oh God why, who is this skinny girl?!
Making me crazy!

It is making me crazy!

For one kiss from the skinny girl
I would give everything
For one kiss from the skinny girl
even if it only was one

Even if it only was one!

If you listen closely, the big question mark behind this performance always makes me laugh out loud and think would it even be appropriate to bring it like this today? And why was this appropriate in the Disco in 1976? D

I think people were more relaxed back then :)

I especially like The Fall, largely unlistenable, however there are many gems in the vast discography

Something different today.

I’m a van driver so…

You know 😅

Only those motorway restrictions are pissing me off so it does not match song really well…

But well…

Who cares 🤭

Ok…

Let’s heat up an atmospheare a bit now then 🥳

Winter in America.... The Bottle:

See that black boy over there runnin' scared
His old man in a bottle
He done quit his 9 to 5
He drink full time and now he's livin' in a bottle

See that black boy over there runnin' scared
His old man got a problem
And it's a bad one
He done pawned off damn near everything,
His old woman's weddin' ring for a bottle

I haven't done it yet but I'd like to cycle around Chan Chan.

I actually like the same thing... :) These Guajira rhythms make me ride my bike happily like a steel horse up the mountain.

Cycling with this one, I always imagine that I'm in a video clip joined by a caravan with beautiful thousand and one-night princesses on camels.

And this is for a Sunday morning after waking up with a conehead from too many drinks at the Saturday night Boom-Boom Disco and then going for a walk in the park to...

"The tree of oblivion"

On my land there stands a tree
the one named Oblivion
there where go to dispair 'beloved life'
those with dying souls

To not think of you
I went under the tree of Oblivion
I lay down a little night 'beloved life'
and I stayed, sleeping very well

Waking up from this dream
I thought about you again
Because now I have forgotten to forget 'beloved life'
and so I lay down

Darn tree! It didn't work!!
