Slightly cloudy at 120

@megwattscreative I am about member of the Hardy Plant Society and the Cottage Garden Society which gives me access to their seed sharing schemes so loads of perennials from them. Well worth joining both for the rare and unusual varieties and the fabulous communty. I also want to grow some rare sorbus multi stems and visited a number of arboretum in autumn 'liberating' the odd seed from the Lovell Tree Collection (developed by the Prof Lovell who set up Jodrell Bank), Bluebell arboretum gave me a few seeds from their Sorbus Yunnan Pink that they grew from seeds gifted to them by a Buddhist Temple in Yunnan province, and a I collected a few different varieties from Castle Howard. I only take a few seeds after they have dropped They spent winter in my fridge (much to my wife's disgust). I am starting to take cuttings (the Rosie Hardy on-line course fed my obsession) and plant on overwintered more tender plants. Also veg for the garden.

@megwattscreative at GCSE ...!!

@megawattscreative makes a brilliant point about a thread with a list of music to relax to. It 'sounds' a great idea. The music composed for Florestas Submersas complemented and hightend the experience emphasised the reflective, 'flow', and therapeutic element of experiencing their aquascape and I think a fair few of us do the same at home with our own choice of music. Close the door, turn the lights down, a sip or so from a glass of your preferred tipple (or not), and just immerse yourself ...Time to decompres, recharge your 'social and emotional' batteries, and centre yourself.

The only fly in this particular ointment is that when I focus on the aquarium I start to see the 'areas for improvement'... music helps me pull back and enjoy.

you can try putting a root tab right underneath it
I added a capsule with osmscote, however, to no avail. I thought of taking it out and chilling it to force it into dormancy and then putting back in spring. What do you think ...if worth a go? Or should I try more osmscote/ root tabs?

That's the beauty of it 🙂 and yes, GCSE! Apparently it was a module on minimalism, but he did go to a state school with a focus on music so it might not be too mainstream😉
And the garden societies sound amazing, I will have to check it out when I get a place with my own garden!

Theres nothing wrong with liberating a few fallen seeds imo, as long as they're not invasive I reckon it's an environmental service... My version is "proplifting" - collecting fallen succulent segments from under the sad displays at big box stores 😂

Hi all,
you have an opportunity to produce duckweed merchandise ......
"Smoothies", I already have it covered <"Future Mars astronauts may chomp on Wolffia plant to survive">.
T Shirts, Coasters, mugs, fridge magnets ...🤣
Possibly, but only as a limited edition for true believers. I have a blurb <"NA Style ADA 60P"> already. I'd need a <"good slogan">, or possibly "Al Kooper" might let me use "I love you more than you will ever know"?

cheers Darrel
