I bought S Repens about 3 weeks ago.
The tall stems are emersed growth (that's how the plant arrived)
The small leaves at the bottom are the growth that has happened in my aquarium.
My question is should I cut the tall old emersed growth off or not?
Thanks

Hi all,
Welcome to UKAPS
My question is should I cut the tall old emersed growth off or not?
Tropica say prune them <"Staurogyne repens - Tropica Aquarium Plants"> but personally I'd leave the old stems on all the time the leaves are looking healthy.
I would cut them and replant the tops it will grow out with submersed leaves.
That is another option. Staurogyne repens is a funny plant, Tropica say it is <"easy">, but a <"lot of people fail with it">.

The "best" plants I've seen were definitely @Kezzab's, but <"grown emersed in very soft water">.

cheers Darrel

Thanks
I just worry about them hindering the growth of the submerged leaves.
May cut top and replant tops as the tiny leaves at top may be submersed growth already.
