Question about filtering Rain water

I always use lidded containers designed for Potable Water. As I mentioned earlier, these containers then go inside the Wham box for storage to stop sunlight causing algae.

Even indoors I’ve had algae growing in my 5L containers next to the tank, so these now go inside a nice container I got from IKEA.
