Quality scissors for nano?

Hi all :D

I need some better scissors. I'm using JBL Inox tweezers and scissors, the tweezers are great I find, but the scissors are heavy, and have a rounded tip at the end of the blades, which I find doesn't work too well when trying to get in for precise cuts.

I'd like some which are more lightweight, sharp with pointed tips and high quality. I was thinking 8-10 inches long as it would be predominantly for my nano, I've seen TGMs, and was considering Dennerle's nano aquascaping kit, but they too look a bit 'bulky' and I only need scissors anyway.

Any recommendations?

May thanks,
Paul

Yes I bought them too, absolute cr*p! Made of cheese. Very low quality.

Hi all,
You can get very good quality scissors from either medical suppliers or companies that sell the kit for dressing fishing flies. You should be able to get an absolute top quality pair for £15, as well as surgical stainless steel you can get titanium and stainless with tungsten carbide inserts, the latter will stay sharp almost eternally.

You want to search for "arrow-point", here are some fly-tying ones.

No, not a fisherman at all these days, although I used to muck about with flies and fly-tying years ago.

I just searched for "medical grade stainless steel dissecting scissors", that got me to "arrow point scissors", and then I found the fly-tying ones, and they looked absolutely perfect, and cheap. (in fact very cheap in your Ebay link).

cheers Darrel
