Hi,

I am having a nightmare with what I think is silk algae. It is growing at a fast rate mainly on my moses but it is spreading furthur now. It looks like spiders' webs!

I have a 112ltr tank which is filtered by an Aqua One 1050 plus. I dose with 6mls of easycarbo six days a week, along with 2mls of TNP+ six days a week. The tank is moderately stocked. I was dosing 3mls of TNP+ a day but I reduced this as most of the plants in the tank are slow growing. Anubias, java ferns and mosses, with a few faster growing plants.

I have roughly 1.4w of T8 lighting per gallon.

Any advice would be great.

Cheers,
Dan

Hi Dan,
I'm afraid the term "Silk Algae" is not in our lexicon. Can you please review ==> JamesC's Algae Guide and give us the proper identification? The causes will also appear on that webpage.

Cheers,
