All,

Bought my wife a DOOA Terra Base and a UNS 20T (with lid; we live in Colorado) to go in her home office. It has good exposure and gets a couple hours of strong natural light each day. Also picked up some small ghost wood and some water-conducting tape to add a bit beyond the basic cylinder look.

I've ordered a couple of different moss varieties and will get some Anubias nana petite.

But, I need a "crown jewel" plant for it. I've been doing image searches of the Terra Base and found the plant below. It's the green and pink one at the top left of the vessel. Anyone know what it is?

I don't know, but it looks like it might be a small sympodial Orchid? I'll add in @Tyko_N and @Myrtle. User @gex23 isn't active on the forum, but their posts could be very useful <@gex23 - "Search results">.

At a guess? Something like <"a Restrepia?"> We have a few threads <"Wine cooler DIY terra base">, <"Show your orchids!"> & <"ADA Terra Base">. I also think the green plant opposite is probably an orchid.

cheers Darrel

My guess as well, but no idea about the species. It could be worth checking the following genera though: Stelis, Platystele, Porroglossum and Scaphosepalum. If you're just after that kind of look, some terrestrial bladderworts (Utricularia) could also work well.
