give it a go. mosses are the best to use in general and normally i would only use moss in the past on bigger projects.Looks good, I've often though of doing the same but using garden moss.
The plant with the red flower is Anagallis (Lysimachia) arvensis.I have no clue what's in the land iwagumi.
They are both plants that occur in the UK as well as Spain. Anagallis arvensis ("Scarlet Pimpernel") is a common native, and S. rupestre (Rock Stone-crop) a long established "alien" plant on dry-stone walls etc.I was being a tad lazy in my quest to find out,
