Identification help for a newbie

Hi there, my first planted tank is now about 4 months old. It is low tech, has had a lot of brown diatoms in the past, but this is now subsiding a little.

I returned from a week away to some new algae, can anyone help me identify?

It’s like brown cobwebs on the moss.

Hi all,

It’s like brown cobwebs on the moss.

These are filamentous diatoms, they used to be in the genus Synedra, but are now Fragilaria spp.
