    Hi,
    Like this, please carefully note the subtle difference in syntax:

    Ugly, which appears like this:=> New corner tank | UK Aquatic Plant Society
    Code:
    [url]http://ukaps.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=3111[/url]
    Pretty, which appears like this:=> New corner tank
    Code:
    [url=http://ukaps.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=3111]New corner tank[/url]
    To make it stand out you can underline or bold or even use colors to highlight the link: New corner tank
    Code:
    [url=http://ukaps.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=3111][u]New corner tank[/u][/url]
    New corner tank
    Code:
    [url=http://ukaps.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=3111][b]New corner tank[/b][/url]

    New corner tank
    Code:
    [url=http://ukaps.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=3111][color=#000080]New corner tank[/color][/url]
    Or you could do combinations:
    New corner tank
    Code:
    [url=http://ukaps.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=3111][u][b][color=#000080]New corner tank[/color][/b][/u][/url]
    Cheers,

    I'm confused.. This doesn't actually tell me how to create the link. It just shows me the difference between the two?

    You copy the code and edit it to suit your needs! Simple as that!

    Hi there,
    Does anyone know how to make a link, not to the top of a page, but to a specific post in a thread, eg half-way down a page?
    Cheers,
    Andre

    Hi Andre, on the specific post you will have a number, for example your post above is #7 on the right hand side, right click on that number and copy that link, it will go straight to that post when you lick on it:

    Example of the above: How to! - Create a link? | UK Aquatic Plant Society

    when using a desktop only, if you highlight the bits you want to qoute, a "Quote Me" tab appears, just click it and hey presto it appears in the reply box at the bottom of the page.
    hope that helps,
    Cheerio,
    Ady.
