Can I grow a water lily indoors? (In a big enough tank?)

Hi all,

What is the plant in the above tank with narrow floating leaves which appear blueish-green in colour.

It is an aquatic grass <"Hygrorhyza aristata">, I was just going to post that it looks fairly healthy.

Ive just had a bash at this …. in a riparium , I chopped some tuber off outdoor miniature water lily , the tank is cool as it houses Killies , so its about 68 no substrate hardly , low flow ,, no ferts , some natural light as its in Conservatory which has glass roof. By no means bright in winter though so added a cheap clip on LED
I stuck the tuber which had a few leaves left on it in between some stones , poured a bit more sand on for anchorage . That was about 6 weeks ago and have floating leaves, loads of new roots and FLOWER bud .
Variety Pygmae Helvola , delighted with the experiment so far.
