Bubbling Betta Springs

I am just making it up as I go pretty much. I never really come up with things by thinking about it my brain is weird like that, so I just start designing and stare at it until an image comes rattling in. All my skill points are in spatial acuity pretty much the other parts do not work so well

That i completely understand. I have restricted myself from buying a 3D printer. As I would spend countless hours scouring for designs to try out and think up things for aquatics to design and print.
A friend is buying one solely so that they can DL Star Trek ships to upscale/print and make into christmas tree decorations, instead of spending loads on eaglemoss ships.
I have all my DnD players in 3D print form whether i can use them or not in table games 🤣

That sounds like a perfect use of time to me  I was thinking about how fun it would be to grow plants in tiles for use during a session just yesterday.

I had a 3d printer but it died and about a month later I seen a guy trying to donate his on tiktok so I said please give it to me, turns out he was in my city. About an hour later I was at his house and collected it.

Update from the trenches lads
I got the foam cut to shape. Got the tank in position. I went and got a bag on compost and mixed a little sand, gravel and a little bag of aquarium soil with compost and added it too filter bags. I added a little loose which I may regret but we will see. Ignore the mess

I cut my sponges and too my horror the filter just shut down. I panicked a bit and thought it was all for nothing. Then I noticed the airstones were near the top of the tubes haha. I trimmed one of the filter sections a bit too. I finished assembling the frame and siliconed it in. Just the bottom frame to go but I will be eating beans for the next 3 weeks till payday
So she is running with the top section nearly fully closed down without overflowing. My heater is a bit big so it is not in yet. This is just a cheap usb light for now and I will dark cycle. need to mess with the lid fitting and wait to buy more pla and plants.

I am thinking some kind of root. branch with thin java ferns for the filter section and a big lawn of Lilaeopsis brasiliensis or Eleocharis pusilla. Not sure yet as I think I will take the dive with co2 for this tank injected into the bubbling spring.
Thanks for looking

This is a nifty little feature - I wish I had the means to build one myself.
thanks i am glad its working lol. If you want me to design one to fit your needs let me know now I have the working one it wont take long. it is interesting that it basically kills the flow in the tank so should work well for the betta. They have lots of services to 3d print stuff for you
