And some new growth visible below.....that entire stalk in focus. Curious what it will look like in a few days as it took off fairly fast the last few days..

Nice! 🙂 Maybe a Pelllaea spp. (rotundifolia) - Button Fern.. Just a guess and i go with the seemingly brown hairy stems i think to see.
Another possible option might be Nephrolepis cordifolia, but this one doesn't have brown stems afaik.. 🙂

I bought it a few weeks ago, just termed as 'fern'. It seems to like my terrarium conditions and is growing very well.
In fact there have been lots of new growth in the last month from many of the inmates, I am sure the abeyant light of spring and early summer has caused this big upsurge in activity.
However over the last few months, I have also seen a decline in several of my wild collected moss species. I think the consistently warm humid conditions have finally had a dire effect on them!
