Removing stem plants

I want to remove one of my hygrophila , Can I cut the stem and leave the roots in place ? They will rot quickly but is this a bad practice ? I do not want to make a mess because I know that the roots grew quite extensively

Removing diatoms from hairgrass

I have 4 ottos , and like it a lot. But they prefer to go on the wood and glass areas. They rarely go on the hairgrass for some reason.

Removing diatoms from hairgrass

The hair grass was planted 15 days ago so had already some roots , and the comb was not densely packed like the real ones , it was a toy.

Removing diatoms from hairgrass

Just wanted to share a small tip. I was having a hard time removing diatoms from hairgrass , until I saw a plastic hair comb lying around. It was a toy and tried to brush the hairgrass with it. It turned to be very effective , after all it looks like hair !

[/IMG] This is day 2 ,my first attempt for a planted tank. After months of reading very interesting tutorials on this site , especially on Akadama and Co2 injection this is what I came up with. I started with 6 hrs co2 injection with the standatd 30 bpm , and 6.5 hrs lights with 2 hrs...

Co2 art 4dkh solution with jbl drop checker

I bought the jbl drop checker , it came with a solution , just add 3 or 4 drops with this 4dkh water and you have an approx indication of the co2 being injecte (for a week). I did not know that any 4dkh will do , this is all new stuff for me and this is the place to come and learn. Thanks...

Aquarium CO2 Reactor Diffuser with pump

I think I found what I need in this video from Co2 supermarket. Not the prettiest of set ups but I think it will do the job.

Aquarium CO2 Reactor Diffuser with pump

that helped a lot , thank you. The more connections and reducers the bigger the risk of failure , sounds to much complicated to me. I think I will go for the bazookas and accept the fact to watch the fizzy bubbles.

Aquarium CO2 Reactor Diffuser with pump

What pump would you choose , if it was for your set up ?
26. id_darren

Aquarium CO2 Reactor Diffuser with pump

I know the item is internal but that does not mean that you cannot connect it to external pump. At least that`s what I think.

Aquarium CO2 Reactor Diffuser with pump

How to diffuse Co2 ? The inline diffuser is not an option for me because I do not have an external filter. The ceramic diffusers and the bazooka are popular but I do not like a the look of too much bubbles floating around. I think that the ceramic media gets clogged very easily too...

Dual stage CO2 regulators for Aquaria- CO2 Art?

Do you agree with this statement , Generally speaking, I do not support the use of solenoids. Not because they are not a good IDEA, but because they are failure-prone, often resulting in dead fish. Not worth the risk in my opinion Sent from my RM-914_eu_euro1_327 using Tapatalk

Is this a good mixture ?

I am just a beginner , I thought that the tank size did not matter. I read Clive's post and he said that as long that you are dealing with ppm , any tank will do. At least that's what I thought .Anyway my tank is 150 litres. Sent from my RM-914_eu_euro1_327 using Tapatalk
