Just wanted to share a small tip. I was having a hard time removing diatoms from hairgrass , until I saw a plastic hair comb lying around. It was a toy and tried to brush the hairgrass with it.
It turned to be very effective , after all it looks like hair !

The hair grass was planted 15 days ago so had already some roots , and the comb was not densely packed like the real ones , it was a toy.

I have 4 ottos , and like it a lot. But they prefer to go on the wood and glass areas. They rarely go on the hairgrass for some reason.

At the moment my temp is 28.5 , we have very long hot summers here. My rasboras and tetras seem to tolerate it but what about the schrimps ?
