Aquatic soil in hard water.

John innes no 3 seems very popular here. So I will order a 30 lit bag from ebay.

My tap water is 7kh and 18gh , is it ok to use this soil ? I did not manage to find any aquatic soil in Malta.

John ines has ground limestone in it, it will add to the hardness. If you can find pond soil that would be better
My 60l cube has john innes 3 in it and the tds increases by about 10ppm per day
