Critique my hardscape Wood Auditions...

I know which one I prefer, just wondering which you'd choose: Shared Album

A Gnarly root (the dark one)
B Slender stick (the light one)

The dark one by a long shot for me. Even more so if it's going into a small setup with small critters and plants.

slender one for moss, the gnarly one if you want the wood to be the focus. 🙂

Both would make grand scapes
I prefer the dark one as it's a more interesting wood (shapes), I'd keep moss to a minimum & let the wood be a focus

Bugs
Both will work with an Aquascape the darker might be harder to work with. The lighter is very simple and very easy to work with, It could darken with age in a tank placing plants on or around it would distract from its light colour until it ages.

Thanks, all. My preference was the dark one but I get the various arguments for each.
