So ive been missing my Fave Hot Chocolate, and cant seem to find it anymore since Covid.
My personal fave is by Suchard, and I used to be able to buy the Tassimo pods or loose powder. Then covid came and the price skyrocketed from £24.99 for a retail pack of 6 to £64.99 for the same box.
I have not found anything that tastes as rich and smooth as this brand.
Google says its still around but been brought out a few times.

So whats your go to hot chocolate drink.
Please not the P*** water That is cadburys or these mars, galaxy, milka etc
At a stretch a double MaccyD's hot chocolate will suffice.

I should add that my taste buds are screwed so any drinks have to be made strong for me to taste them. As everything is either soapy(Ozempic) or peppery(my mouth is covered in miniscule cysts) tasting to me.

I find melting some good quality chocolate (I like Cote d’or) into a little milk then adding steamed milk from the espresso machine plus a burst of whipped cream on top to be the best way to make it. It’s low cost but high effort and the best taste.
i dont have the patience for this. And would not dare to use a Milk steamer while living with my Dad.
I have seen people using the velvitizers online and tikkytok and that looks ok.

I used to drink Green and Blacks by the gallon until they changed the recipe a few years ago, forever sad about that! Now drink Bare Bones - it's pricy, but it's incredibly good for a treat.

Oh that one does look good thanks, ill order a tub to try it. shame not taking orders,
Seems it’s been discontinued. A shame, but I have some left and will then need to find an alternative. In my experience, anything with pure coco powder and only sugar is good. In fact, you can mix your own with 40% pure coco powder amid 60% sugar.

now that sounds like my kind of mix, i need alot of sugar to be able to taste it.

Fwiw, I find making hot cocoa with a really top notch cocoa powder beats any mix I’ve tried.

I don’t like it very sweet & I don’t want a milk chocolate flavour - I love very dark high cocoa percentage chocolate & prefer hot cocoa that’s similar.

I don’t know what brands of cocoa are available in the UK but Cocoa Barry Extra Brute 22-24% cocoa powder is a French brand and it is to die for.

I don’t usually add sugar but I use lactose free full fat milk to make it. Lactase enzyme makes milk taste sweeter so that’s all I need.

I sometimes add a bit of 10% cream if I’m feeling like some extra decadence.

Cheers ive saved that in my basket on prime £20a kilo bag

My sister has a vevletiser, which should be a gimmic but we actually use loads. It makes even the powdered stuff taste better, although usually we just use grated chocolate of the drinkers % preference.
