Weird growth

I have weird growth on my Java ferns. It does not come on any other plant and is not eaten by Corey’s, bristles, shrimp or other algae eater whose name I have forgotten. Can anyone enlighten me please. See attached photo. The tank still has tanning from the wood. I only set it up recently.

That growth on Java fern will turn into independent new Java fern plantlets. This is reproduction mechanism.

My tank. Another question while I am here. I bought a grey/black spot plecco and three clown loach and have not seen them since putting them in. No dead bodies either, is this normal?

I had little black dots on my java ferns and thought it was black algae and scraped them allmoff! It was only when I was told how they grow I realized what I had done!.
