Hi,

Probably this is a bit overthinking, but I thought to buy a water flow device that connects into your hose and would measure how many litre I pumped out from aquarium during water change.

Does anyone use something like that?

Thanks,
Mike

I marked a line on my tank, using a Sharpie that was 90 litres down (on 180l tank).

Calibrated by using a 2 litre jug to remove 20 litres of water, noting the tank level drop and multiplying the line drop by 4.5, to get 90l. Put a bit of Scotch tape over the top of pen line so it won't rub off during tank "faffing".

I then syphoned water out until the line was reached. Job done.

Similar, but I have a 130l premix container of which I first filled by syphoning out of my full tank when full and new (leak test) and marked the level with a Sharpie. Now it is syphon off to mark and pump back prepped water, job done.
