Hi all,
I've never grown Trapa natans, but I saw these in the water lily house at Munich Botanic Garden (well worth a visit) last week. They were growing in very warm conditions, with a huge amount of light, and the rosettes were about 40cm across. My suspicion would be that they would have a very high high light requirement that may prove difficult in the winter. They are also reported as "annual" (I'm not sure whether this is only in the temperate part of their range), so you may need to retrieve the seeds to sow in 2012.

cheers Darrel
