After 8 years of reef keeping I've decided I want some a lot easier to maintain. I was just on the verge of converting my tank to freshwater when I discovered vampire crabs. So instead I sold all the reefing equipment I had and bought a small paludarium.
Set this up Saturday. At the moment it's nothing special but I'm pretty happy with it.
Tanks 30x30x60 cm
Arcadia jungle dawn lumenize lighting
Small internal heater and filter hidden away in the cave to the right.
Plants list so far:
scindapsus pictus
Chamaedorea elegans
Star moss
fittonia albivenis
tillandsia
bromelia mix mini forest (not sure that's the correct name it's just what was written on the pot)
Anubias nangi
Java moss
not sure whether to add some more plants or just let what I've got grow in first. Although I would like a small suitable orchid species.
I've ordered 2x females and 1x male vampire crab they should come Thursday/Friday. Think I'll probably add some neocaridina shrimp and woodlice too at some stage.
