Hello!

I would like to ask you what do you think about treat new fish with meds for parasites before getting those to the main aquarium? I have been reading about using Metronidazole (which is very cheap here, 10 tabs 500mg less than a dollar). Any thoughts? Advises?

Thanks,

Please don’t use Metro ‘just because you can’ for ‘broad spectrum what ifs’ as the more people that do this the higher likelihood of bacteria evolving resistance to this Antibiotic. Metronidazole specifically acts on Gram Negative Bacteria.

Use an anti parasitic medicine for parasites, Levamisole based medication is what you are looking for.

:)

Thank you, any suggestion on how to dose the Levamisole?
