whats the best way to plant and grow Rotala Macrandra successfully im on my third/fourth attempt at growing this with no success at all it just melts everytime.

can anyone tell me where im going wrong.
7 hour photo period
lights are 3wpg
co2 injection 30ppm comes on 2 hours before lights goes off 1 hour before lights out
ferts are nourish and nourish +
substrate is unipac black sand over tropica planting substrate

The most important care requirement for r. macrandra is soft, acidic water. I would have problems with it when the gH rose above 5 degrees, but other than that it did fantastic.

I does require more light than most rotalas, however 'medium' intensity light should suffice.
