Hello I recently downgraded from a big tank to a 55 litre tank, new substrate, plants and wood and I have noticed these small white worm looking things

I have cherry shrimp in this tank and I’m guessing that there is a product out there that will kill these worms but also kill the shrimp

Anybody know what these are and how to get rid of them?

They are detritus worms. I don't think they are particularly harmful - someone else will know about shrimp. Excess food makes them multiply - you could try a feeding dish for the shrimp so the food doesn't filter down into the substrate.

Ahh, great idea, I will defiantly try and find a dish to feed the shrimp or some other object!and phew thank god they aren’t harmful I was about to go shrimp fishing and worm squishing!
