In India lives a frog commonly called the Dancing Frog. A rather mysterious little frog performing a dance like mating ritual. Cientist studied these little strange frogs for over a century, found a lot of new spieces in the family. Recorded the mating ritual, recorded the mating and laying of eggs. But the greatest mystery nobody was ever able to find any tadpoles in the waters inhabited by these frogs.
It took till half way 2016 till sombody while digging into the ground outside the water stumbled upon little tadpoale looking creatures without eyes. Lo and behold, further investigation revealed they finaly found the dancing frogs tadpoles.. They seem to live not on land, but even stranger dug into it, underground, instead of in the water.
They eat like earthworms, swallow the sand and digest the micro-organism in it. Unique in these frogs is they also develop a ribcage in their bone structure. Another mystery solved, the tadpoles also have it, this obviously to protect them from the crushing pressure living subterranian dug into the sand. Also develop a hard bone shell over their eyes for protection which is shed in a later stage of life becomming a little frog.
