Surface skimmer

Hi im looking around as i have seen the eheim surface skimmer and i already have a eheim unit. But have noticed as mine is an eheim 2128 with a very high flow rate that it is a bodge to get it working. So i thought their must be some universal skimmers that will connect to your exsisting inlet hose like mine on the eheim.
my inlet is like this one:

dont rearlly want to run another external filter.
