I want to grow a nice carpet of SP but see it is easy to grow with medium to high amounts of light would CO2 help or is it not needed all the other plants will be low tech stuff,

I would say CO2 is a must, I have tried in on a low tech and it grows very leggy and not very nice looking to be honest!

As Paolo said Co2 is very important for staurogyne repens having said this have grown it well in my nano using LC and 11w of light.With Co2 the growth rate is considerably faster.Cheers mark
Adding liquid carbon or pressurised makes it high-tech and means "CO2"
on small tanks LC can be cost effective!
