Hello!

I'm planning a biotope aquarium representing the Oiapoque (or Oyapock) river which forms the border between French Guyana and Brazil. I already have some Corydoras oiapoquensis and C.condiscipulus.

I found this video of the river, which shows these fish (and others). There are also some aquatic plants which feature between 4:00 and 4:20 on the video:

The plants look a bit like a kind of long-leaved Sword with wrinkly leaves. But they could be something else entirely. There are several Crypts with wrinkly leaves but this is South America not Asia.

Can anyone give me an ID on these plants? I've tried on fishy forums with no joy, so I've come to the experts!

Many thanks,
Paul

Thanks Darrel! Good to see you here too 🙂
Hopefully I can find something from that family that is similar in appearance to use in my biotope.

Thanks - those pictures of Apinagia longifolia look similar, also to the brighter green plants later in the video (5:30 to 5:45).
Would they survive as a continually immersed plant?
