Hi,
Would anyone be kind enough to suggest prime candidate(s) for 'shrinking' Hygrophila Polysperma ? Plant has been growing well for 12+ months with bright green 4 - 5 cm leaves on daily lengthening stems, but over the last couple of months, growth has reduced significantly with the plant is now resembling more of a bush with small 1cm leaves.
System has been stable for over a year, and other plants are doing well (swords and vallis) but the HP is suffering for some reason - any suggestions would be welcomed !
I'm reluctant to change things too much in experimentation as it has been running well for so long, but I was wondering if the tubes should be replaced - do they deteriorate over time (18 months or so ?)
~100 gal tank
4xT5 for about 9hrs / day
Presurised CO2 & James' Planted Tank recipe ferts 3 x a week
2x additional powerheads
bi weekly water change of about 40%
Thanks in advance for any help / suggestions !
Andy
