Good morning,
As i have sent a claim to Tropica arguing about this issue and mentioning also those thousands of us whom suffer with this plant, so they could see that it was not a problem of my own, i received an answer from a Tropica high specialist, who takes care of all their trial tanks and scapes, who tests new species etc.
First i´d like to congratulate Tropica for their care in answer a claim and do care about our problems. That is a High Positive note for the company showing respect for their costumers. At list the´re not like ADA and others who don´t give a damn to what we say. We claim, receive a "READ RECEIPT NOTE" but no answer at all...
I also sent them the entire SET UP of my aqua and photos of the other plants so they could do a better analisys.
And.. even them can´t come up with a solution and that is something i perfectly understand. Too many factors surround the subject. Even them we´re quite suprised of what happen. I thing they didn´t knew at all about this. They say my aqua parameters are quite as their´s.
Only two differences: Temperature and KH or if unless the plant material (= 1-2-Grow! cup) has been stored for much too long in the pet shop…(this we never know..)
They say that all their plants are cultivated in 24º degrees and 5 KH no matter species. Well.. yesterday i put my aqua in 24 degrees (as it was in 27/28 before) and let me tell you..i didn´t imagine that this 3 or 4 degrees could do such a diference but it does.
Formerly i put my hand in the aqua and i felt hot water. Now i put my hand in there and there´s a lot of difference.. it´s not hot anymore but also not that cold that you feel uncorfortable. It´s cosy..
So this is the only change i made as for the KH i can´t do a thing..
Let´s see if the stems that are surviving live long.. if not i´m going to try again directly (sametime using the propagator 🙂 love this ideia ), in the tank but now with this 24 degrees. Somehow i do believe that this issue of temperature might be the cause.. as the plants are in the cups a week or two and certainly not at 27/28 degrees and this heat shock might be the cause. Not all plants suffers as equal but i did have this issue once with the Staurogyne to.
Other important aspect that we should take note for the future:
They only use light-sources of 6500 Kelvin, since this has proven to satisfy both plants and colour-appearance for the viewer.
For a matter of respect i won´t copy their answer to here.
