Refector

Ok so bought a reflector for my new T5 setup as I needed to cover and protect the bulb from the top as I blew one when doing a water change and the light was blinding when opening. Also with the idea of intensifying the light downwards but was unaware it creates "dark spots" at top of the rear and front?! Is this a normal issue that comes with reflectors?

In regards to the plants, ive eliminated all old tattie looking leaves and all traces of bba. I was starting to see new growth without the reflector.

That's a lovely looking tank, but I think that the images are misleading as the second one doesn't look as good quality as the first so maybe misrepresents the tank now with the reflectors. I think the dark spots is why some people use 2 parallel.
